Default Swap L94 to? LS3/L9H? Help!

Newbie here! 2010 Yukon Xl Denali with 6.2 L94. This is my school bus for the kids and she’s dead in the driveway again. Rebuilt a head last year because a valve dropped and no scarring but this time it’s the other side and it’s bad. Not worth pulling to try and fix.

I’m not ok with putting another L94 in there because of the AFM/DOD experiences and the disabler feels like a band aid idea. I want to put a motor in which Doesn’t have AFM. I think the stock LS3 cam might cause a significant loss of low end torque but not sure how much. I see that the L9H seems like what I want but I don’t know about the compatability. I need something easy which will bolt up with minimal extras.

can someone please advise? I need a shopping list. AFM delete in my driveway is over my skill level. I have help for an engine swap and tuning but that’s it. What is my best, easiest, simplest option? Thank you!!

An L9H is an L94 without AFM. The LS3 camshaft is made for a car. But you are confusing me, you are talking parts but then say you don't want to repair or convert if I am understanding you correctly. Get an L9H and a tune to go with it which will turn off AFM.

AFM delete in the driveway is like 40 times easier than an engine swap. If you have help with that then you definitely can do a cam swap and lifter swap.

I mentioned the cam on the LS3 because I am considering the ls3 motor but not sure that cam would be good in a Yukon because I tow(LS3 probably not a good idea). Either way I have to do a motor swap because mines toast. Do you know what else I would need to do a swap to L9h?

Ahh okay for some reason I read that the engine looked okay.

Only thing you should have to do is get a tune for it without AFM and that's it.

Well, you want the intake from your old motor and an L9H camshaft. If you want more horsepower from a camshaft, can't help you there, don't know enough. According to Summit, the crankshafts have different part numbers as do the heads, not sure what the differences are.

Im fine with the stock cam in the L9H. I think that’s what I’m going to go with is an L9H. Do you foresee any issues with my Yukon being AWD and the L9H? I don’t know if those were setup for AWD or 4WD like on the sierras. How would I know what to look for?

Nope, that was the setup the year before for the Yukon Denalis and Escalades and I think the Sierra Denalis.
