They are rare but you can catch one every once and a while. There are not any there now, you have to keep your eye open. You can also check e-bay. I may have been off a bit.....maybe in the 3-4000.00 range....

lol...no actually i have never wanted a sports car...guess trucks are in my blood. I need the custom setup because I am running all Vette accessories. All of the centrifical superchargers on the market are gonna be set up, as far as plumbing to and from the intercooler, for a Corvette and not a truck. I also have to run both the ECM off the Vette and the ECM off the truck in order to get SES light, RPM, oil pressure, etc... to work on the dash. It's a little bit of a project, but nuthin I can't handle with the help of a good friend of mine. Quite a few C/K Chevy trucks have made the switch to either an LS1 or an LS6.

And Prochargers have had problems with their head units under high boost from what Ive read but also it was supposedly from P-1SC units and guys were trying to force like way more boost from them then they can handle. But I have heard very good things from the D and F series lines, altho the F may be a little bit more overkill than the D.

And no ifs and or butts, its not an 05 Z06. Why? Because there is no such thing. Not being a dick, just lookin out for a newbie.
What's the difference between a 4L60E and 4L65E? For the time being I plan to run the LS6 for about 5 or 6 thousand miles. Once all the bugs are worked out I will install a Procharger. I should realistically be able to put 500 on the ground. I think before I dwell too much further in power, I really need to invest what's left of my money in the suspension and transmission. I set aside 18k for this project...well actually I put the plans to shave everything on hold. I have about 6k left to get this baby to hook. Now that might the most unrealistic idea of the day...lol. I'm gonna check out those trannies you mentioned. I appreciate it.

I'm not gonna say that you're wrong, but I have never seen a LS6 with harness and ECM go for under 5000...at least none that I wanted. I have been lookin for this engine for a yr and a half now. I got lucky I found it. Maybe I got screwed, who knows. Guess I'll find out when I get it fired up.

Also, there is no 2005 Z06. The motor, if you have it, would have come from a 2004 vette.

Got any pics of the motor?
I do have pics of the engine. I'm not sure how to post them though. Mind givin me a crash course?

WHat are the casting numbers of the heads and the part number on the block, it would be stamped on the block somewhere, an 8 digit number.
