Default JBA's here

I have ceramic coated JBA Cat4ward's and I'm extremely pleased with them. They have true mandrel bends that flow symmetrically into the firecone collector ... for an even flow into the Y-pipe ... making them virtually as turbulance free as any other header on the market. The only drawback, is that the pipes are 1 5/8" which is a restriction for me, but, not enough to be overly concerned about for my needs. The difference in these and a 1 3/4" pipe is only 1/8th on one inch .... some say it's a tremendous difference ... some say it's not really enough to make much difference at all. I say it depends on your goals and which state you live in.

shorties may pick you up a bit of power. but once you start adding mods and needing to force alot of air out of your motor fast and efficiently, long tubes are the way to go.

A buddy and I installed a set on my 5.3 and on his 4.8 this weekend. I like them alot! Fit perfect no leaks and picked up some power too. I also like that they only cost about 140. They are repackaged pacesetters.

Later,
Chris D.

1/8" larger primary tubes shift the torque peak up. I don't see how 1.625"s are choking the motor at all. My LTs on the F150 are 1.5x2.5 FWIW

Default Exactly ...

That's one of several reasons I wnet with shorties. Wanted the low-end torque and I went from 3.23 to 3.72 rearend gears for the same reason. I have an A4 tranny and it needed the torque/power downlow to dig out.

Now, when this lightwegiht little hopped up euro cars and ricers try to take me from a dig, well, instead of breaking the law and getting a ticket by beating them at 60-90 mph in town .... hehehe ... I burn them a new *** before I hit 30-40 mph. Never even break the speed limit ...
