Default STS Turbo

How well does this work?

cost?

How will it affect gas mileage?

The idea of having a turbo that most people don't see is really appealing to me, and I've heard it has good gains.

F8L Z71 has one. He's pretty happy with it and it put down some awesome numbers. Send him a PM. Seems like a great kit IMO.

Costs is $3995 for the base kit. I think a lot that have gone with it, also have upgraded the size of the turbo which costs $500-800 more. You will need bigger injectors, more than likely. Figure $300-$400 for that. If you do more mods, you may also need another fuel pump, like an inline, which cost $150-$250. Then comes tuning. Add another $250-$500, depending on who does your tuning. Or, you can do your own tuning for $500-600 for the software.

That seems like a pretty sweet deal. A Radix would be cheaper though.

I tried pushing my system a lil too hard and I think I blew a head gasket. I'll know here shortly.

Whne it gets fixed I'll be trying out a pretty big turbo and see how it affects power and lag so people buying in the future will have more choices.

Even the way it sat I would still be happy with. I have sooo much power under the curve it ain't funny. Have power down low is cool and all but it aint the fastest way to the end of the 1/4mile. I make over 400rwhp from 4k to 6.7K RPM.

Click link in sig for dyno sheet. Hopefully the new turbo will help my HP line keep climbing.
