oh in referrence to headers, I forgot, shortys should work with no modifications, the TOGS are longer which require mods.

STS is in the process of getting their kit carb approved, I think. I'm sure it will be a done deal.
I just got back from cali, sts and I did an install and tune on an 02 camaro. this car was completely stock and it made some good numbers.
The stock engine , base sts kit with the meth injection, 7psi and a very conservative tune, it put out:

475hp
517tq to the wheels.

I posted on ls1truck that is was 8psi, but I remember rick saying he turned the boost down a bit becuase it was running to much.
Total timing was low and conservative at 17.8degs and a/f ratio was about 10.9:1. Why so conservative? So anyone can jump in this car and run the **** out of it and not break anything. It's going to get a lot of use because the owner is a sales guy and will be offering it out a lot and if they go thru a bad tank of gas the car will be ok.
I'm sure with more timing and a leaner a/f ratio, over 500hp to the wheels is possible.

This car turned out to be a completely different beast after the install. It was a 6speed and forget about lag, you almost wanted it to loose boost so that you could feel it again going into the next gear. Over 500tq made this care fun as hell to drive. It'll get loose at the top of second and it broke the tires loose when already and accelerating in third.
The wastegate is loud and awesome, the blow valve gets a lot attention and full boost came in about 3300rpms. I had it in fourth about 65mph and it felt like only a second before 120mph was reading on the speedo. Fifth also accelerates great. Inlet temps stayed around 120-140 degs when playing around.

Anyone intersted in these kits will not be dissapointed!! It's a true bolt-on system and we installed it along with changing the plugs and meth kit in about 6hrs. I'm sure it would have went quicker if we were in our own shops.

later,

allen

Has anyone had any trouble with water getting on the air filter? From the pics I have seen, it look like water could easy hit the air filter. It looks like it could be a problem, especially if you live in a place that gets a lot of rain or ever take your truck in the mud.

This first SS I installed that system on didn't have any issues to be concerned about. If you've been watching the weather, we just had tons of rain, we did testing in that rain and didn't have any problems that forced us to pull over. Every once in a while you would feel a small bump , like a miss, when we were going thru huge puddles and covering the windshield, that tells you how deep the puddles were. Unless you back your truck all the way up to the cab, I wouldn't think you'd have any problems undocking your boat.
I can't think of any problems that would sway a customer from being able to feel the gobs of torque this system produces.

STS has solved lots of problems with this turbo kit. Look at some of the very expensive kits, hell they come with a new hood lol, and other's require you to cut your car up, reroute lines, relocate accessories. The STS kit simply bolts on and makes great power.
The only thing you see on the STS kit, under the hood, is a downpipe that looks like a cold air tube, it's very stealth.
Until you boost it up and it makes all kinds of noise,
