from stock rear end to ??????

hey guys,,im realativly new,,i have an 00 scsb truck with regular mods (hpp lll,stat,wires,air intake,spacer,etc),,now i need traction. i have 3.73 but need to get an eaton posi,,but what more can i do to increase the strentgh of our rear ends,,is there a rear end girdle,,axles,,and who makes them,,or what is your suggestions. i work less than a mile from currie enterprises in anaheim california,,but they want 2500 bucks for a 3.92 geared nine inch with disc breaks. would be nice,,but man thats alot of doe. i can get an eaton installed for right round 485.00 installed but what other suggestions do you guys think,,thanks for your help,,

Unless you plan on some serious power...the 8.6" rear with the eaton and a differential cover should hold up fine. F-body's have 7.5" rears, so that is why you see them breaking them quite often.

thanks kent,,the only other mods i will get will be about a 100 shot of funny gas,,a 2400 yank,,and trans stuff,,then a program like edit, to tune it all in,,,when i get to 13.5 et's,,ill be happy with the performance,,then i will paint it, etc,,,went to fontana raceway here in southern cali,,and ran back to back 14.97 runs,,,no stalling,,brake to gas pedal,,as if i stall it at all,,i burn the 255,55 16s up in smoke,,or should i say,,,single 16,,,any ideas where to get the cover ?? thanks again for everyones help
