Stock Cam question
#1
I am wanting/trying to find the specs on a factory stock 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 CrewCab 5.3 liter camshaft.
I am trying to do some research on new cams, but it would help to know what stock is. I'm not looking for anything really noticable or radical in a new cam. Just a little upgrade from stock with a slight lope.
Thanks in advance guys.

the stock cam is somewhere around the 190/191 duration area i believe. if your looking are a little more power and want to keep most stock end power i'd go with a 212/218 559 563, if your adding a stall and have at least 390 gears like you do, i would go with a 220/220 550-560 lift 112/114(114 will idle better), but i would reccommend at least a 3k stall with this one. i just order a 221/221 551 551 114 and i have a 3200 yank. it should go well i hope.
