Default stock 6.0 cam in 5.3

has anyone done this? the mechanic at the chevy house said it would make a hella of a loper and pretty good power. the reason he said this i think is he has 3 of them just laying around from a few motors he is toying with. just thought i would ask yall about this. because if anyone has done it it is prolly someone on here

Depends on what year. The 01 and up had better cams:
2001 LQ4 12561721 0.479 0.467 207 196 116 117/115

IMO, why not try the 2k Vette cam? I'm just waiting on the mail man for mine:
2000 LS1 Y-car 12560968 0.5 0.5 207 198 115.5 112/119

And for reference, here's the 5.3's cam specs:
2000 LM7 12560967 0.466 0.457 190 191 114 112/116

Good call. TR224 is a great choice.. probably better in a 5.3 anyway
