Default Stall converter for SS, occasional track/towing?

ok, I'm serioulsy considering a Silverado SS for my weekend driver when I'm in town. I want to mod it quite a bit. probably eventually have H/C and all the bolt -ons. but heads probably won't come for a while. I have a Comp 224/224 .539 114lsa cam laying in my garage I could thow in.

it would also be used to tow my Camaro SS to the track (30 miles) and to events (up to 1000 miles away).

is there a converter made for something like this??? I'm guessing around a 2800-3000 stall???

TIA!!!

Yank TT3000 or for something a little milder a TT2600.

The YankTT3000 will really wake things up and still give full towing capability.Add your cam and a set of ASM longtube headers and you've got a pretty serious SS.

thanks for the info!! TT is only listed for 4.8's and 5.3's.... will it work for a 6.0L SS???

I wouldn't have thought I could go that big, but glad to hear it.

The SS uses a 4L65E so the TT3000 should work,the TT3200HD is for a 4L80E.

now this is what a **** is talkin about! john you will be very happy with a SS pulling your SS and a phat streetable tow convertor. talk to Mike Senia at Yank, very knowledgeable when you are close to your purchase. he can custom make any convertor and the price is the same.

The TT3200 converter only has a tow rating of 4000lbs while the TT3000 will alow you to maintain your truck's towing capacity. Yank doesn't list the TT3000 for the 6.0 (think they forgot) but it will work fine.
