The head may have a few bend in it but you can fix them.

Just wanna know what's wrong and why so it doesn't happen again when I rebuild it. If it was just the tune that's fine I can live with that I had an appointment for a dyno tune and yes I probably should of just waited to drive it until after that I use see a lot of people using the bb tune and it working fine. I do lap percolate all the input. I'm pulling the head next week so I will see then how much I gotta do to fix it.
We will have it back on the road in no time!

Pulled both heads tonight, Cylinder 6 piston is wobbly and was hitting head lightly. Guesing the rod is bent but going to pull the pan tomorrow. I am thinking best option is just getting all new rods and pistons. How bad is the install whithout pulling the engine? Ill go ahead and stud them as well as ls9 gaskets and new injectors while I'm at it

Now you talkin! The forged rods and Pistons will put you in business. I made 900rwhp on this type of short block. But you will need to pull engine and balance assembly.

Whatever you do as for fixing motor make sure you get yourself a good tune from a tuner who is used to dealing with a lot of power.

Cause a stout motor can fail in the hands of a non experience tuner

You will have no problem with Andrews tune. He is very good. Maybe there was to much timing in the tune or your motor was getting ready to go anyways.
