Speed Engineering True Dual Exhaust Prototype..

GM_Devil: Clamps are a never ending battle with the factory lol. We just had them add the wedge in the middle which helped tremendously. Now we just need to get them to extend the straps a little. They have come a long way from when we first started getting clamps from them.
Update: For those of you who have 6 speed automatic transmissions. We finally got a test vehicle to revise our 07-13 Y-Pipe. The new Y-Pipe will now work with both the 4L60E/6L80E and will exit in a 3.5" diameter. We just sent the prototype off today. Eta on our first batch of those is 7-8 months.
We also got a chance to test our true dual exhaust on the same vehicle. Our X-Pipe itself will fit/work with the 6 speed transmissions just fine, however the little 90* elbow on the drivers side would need to have 1" added pushing it down. It's very close. If you didn't care about smashing the cross over pipe a little bit you could actually make our current system work on the 6L80E. We have already made the adjustments to that 90* elbow, and sent it off as well. We are hoping its in time before our next batch is sent, but not 100% sure. My guess is 3-6 months for the elbow adjustment to become available.
Thanks
Sean

i had to take that wedge out completely. The clamp would not go on at all with it in. its like the clamp is a 1/4 inch to small...
i think on some exhaust ive installed in the past with those style clamps had 3.25" band clamps for 3'' exhaust.
Were those 3" clamps?

same thing with me. had to take the wedge out of everyone of them and add a longer bolt to get the nut started. they are the wrong size. just like you said, probably 1/4 to short. but it sounds great and looks awesome. gotta get pipes extended over the axle and to the back.
