Default speed based boost controler

i made a bunch of runs, started at 9psi, then 10 then 11. at 11psi it started geting squirly and lossing traction. at this point i turned it back to about 10psi out of the hole and turned on the speed based part. 10psi up to about 15mph then bump it up to 11psi at that point and then up a more at 30mph and 45mph.

by the time i was done i was ramping from 10psi out of the hole up to 15psi by 45mph. every time i turned it up my 0-60mph got better(i was only running 0-60's) but my 60' never really changed. no matter what i tried i was in the 1.7x's

i was hoping the controler would help me get a better 60' time but it didn't. it did help me get a nice smooth launch without slowing down any. on the way away from my testing spot i ran a full 1/4 and pulled a 10.8 at 126, thats probably an 11.1 at the track. going to the track on sunday and cuting a 10.99 boost only is going to be close. that is my goal,we will see. i have about 150lbs to drop and i think the boost will go a little higher, maybe another 1psi.

it does sound cool. theswwwwww, swwwwwwww, swwwwwwwwww

AND, the super cool new header from Cmotorsports is being shiped out tomorrow. i hope to see big hp increases with this unit. i should have some pics of it soon.

new better header, 2 banks stay seperate till the turbo, better wg location, all stainless and vband clamps, 1/2" header flange to the motor, stainless 3.5" dp. meth injection, 95lb injectors, speed based boost controler. woohoo, i got some fun stuff ahead.

does it feel like its launching any better? with a speed based controller i would think you could give it more gas off the line and thus a quicker 60' time.

i use the controler to limit the power off the line. if i turn it up i just peal out or get squirly. it is launching much smoother but its not any quicker. seems that pealing out or being on the edge of pealing out gives me the same 1.7x 60' times.

I wonder how fast you are going at 60'. I bet after the 60' mark, you are ramping up the boost with the controller and not seeing the effects of the controller at that short distance. It'd be interesting to see. Keep up the good work!

What tires are you using? I think with slicks all around and with some traction bars you will be able to cut 1.6 or even 1.5s.

i am running the stock firejunks. i cut a best of 1.63 on them but can't seem to do it again. this was at the track so maybe it was preped well that day.

i am sure some sticky tires will help a ton but they will also bring out the weak links in my drive line. still on the stock front and rear. i think i will wait till i have a plan for those parts before i get sticky tires.

on a 1.72 60' run my gtech is telling me i am at 43mph. i think my boost is ramping up by 15mph but doesnt really shot on the loger till closer to 30mph so there wont be a big effect i guess. it's ok, smoother is good too.
