Well i a leaning towards PRC LS6 2.5 heads at the moment. Yes i agree Heads, headers, cam, exhaust, etc all have there place, but i gotta start somewhere and eventually everything will be swapped over... Heads and new exhaust will cost about the same, so that is not a factor.... I think i will notice more gain with heads over exhaust at this point...

Also i gotta get some new injectors on whatever i do since i am at 99% now

I say heads.. The bigger headers are gunna put most of your gains up top.. Heads are gunna gain everywhere. You might need alittle better header down the road but I don't think they are gunna hurt you that much

That is what i am thinking. I am not looking to go extreme by any means. I am definitely not looking to break records either, I am just after your average DD with some extra hp

The bigger headers are gunna make better peak numbers for sure but you don't wanna have to turn it to the moon to pass someone in town.. I think heads will be your best bet then you can upgrade headers later if you feel its holding you back

Well with heads i am thinking 2 different routes, they should cost about the same and both are within my budget

1. PRC LS6 2.5 heads
or
2. PRC 5.3 2.5 heads and a 226/230 .598/.600 113+1

I don't know a whole bunch about flow and different heads but both those heads flow close to the same don't they?

I'm running some patriot stage1 ls6 heads and 11to1 with a 226/230 .595 .600 113+4 and its def toquey and runs good.. I haven't made a all out good pass yet but I've been 8.90s in my truck and that was on 33" mud tires and 20"s and my truck is a big girl haha.. I think your truck would haul ***

That is what i am after a nice torquey truck. I rarely go above 5k these days since my truck now makes alot of tq down low. Sounds like i am after a similar setup like you have

I believe they are close in flow numbers, just different prices....

I am not really concerned about track times since no one goes to the track really anymore around here...

How much are the TSP heads going for these days? I would try to go with a head that has a smaller intake runner but flows close to the same. A lot of cnc ported factory heads have an intake runner size of almost 230cc's from what I've seen
