Lt's would be my choice, more power increase for sure.

Here's the response that I replied to lowsliver's thread when he asked the same question:

Unless somebody's giving you the shorties for free, I wouldn't waste my time and money...save up for some good LT's.

and IMO getting ceramic coated headers is worth the extra dollars. painted is okay, but it rusts much quicker. and if you can afford stainless, more power to ya

QTP had a set of stainless LTs at Sema that looked really nice. I would see when those will be available.

they're available already I believe. i saw em at sema too, the welds are very clean and the overall quality IMO is much better than SW headers. plus they have a decent collector unlike SW

But, stainless doesnt help with the heat issue. The ceramic ones look as good as the stainless ones plus help keep the heat down a tad.

stainless does produce a little more heat than the ceramice coated, BUT they will never rust, and stainless looks so much better than ceramic coating. esepecially after aging. if you're interested in keeping down the heat, just wrap your intake tubes to deflect heat. and if you get real off the beaten path and fab an intake box that keeps out hot air, then you really dont have to worry about engine bay temps.

btw, the airbox I made is T316L stainless. the intake is a 77series K&N with DEI header wrap all around the metal intake tube. just that mod dropped IAT's 26* across the board
