Default shifts acting up

my truck has been actin up a little bit at like 3/4-WOT. at WOT there seems to be a hesitation to accelerate....then it catches for a sec..then the rpms shoot up to like 5600 and just revs...then drops back down. its kinda doin the same thing on the low end also...just feels like somethings not catching?
im boosting like normal and everything seems/sounds fine under the hood. maybe TC goin out ot tranny bout to take a poop?
please advise
chris

Clutches, probably the third/fourth set. I'm guessing it's happening in third or/and Overdrive. The best replacement seems to be the RayBestos Z-Pak.

Mine did the same thing luckly it was still in warrenty, the dealership told me that the 2-4 band in the trans was almost gone! When it would shift it would keep slipping until it would catch. I would say it is time for a rebuild.

The ZPak is a replacement 3-4 clutch set where each plate has friction material on one side and steel on the other instead of alternating friction and steel plates like conventional clutch packs. It handles greater heat and has better resistance to warping (coning) than conventional clutches.

Take a look:
