yes sir i am. i need to know how much shorter i need to make it. maybe i can get an aluminum one out of a burban to work.

with this being i believe your second broken tailshaft, you may want to look into getting a one piece driveshaft in there. under the power levels that they broke at, it shouldn't have been a problem with the trans. sounds more like there is a driveline problem.

I was thinking that too. I've never heard of a trans breaking like that. I would even consider replacing the trans mount as well.
