searching for headers

Take a look at my Thorley 310Y Ceramic Coated Tri-Y headers on my 2000 Yukon XL. It has the LQ4 6.0 L with the 4L80E (same as your truck) http://community.webshots.com/user/sbryant2100. They're great headers.

That was a guy in Louisana with a C1500 (2WD) which has rack and pinion steering rather than recirculating ball like on the 1500HD. I took a picture for him to show the clearance between my steering shaft and the headers. Here is my post with the picture https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....3&postcount=11. I can't tell you what I paid, but I bought them direct from Thorley over the phone. Some of their dealers probably have better prices. Look on their web site www.thorleyheaders.com

Hey Flyer
Since i got a 02 5.3, i shouldnt have the EGR also? But so i can check and make sure, where would it be and what would it look like. Im still stock, so still on the exhaust manifold. Also,(stupid question) what does EGR mean and what does it do? Im guessing it reads your exhaust to check your mixture. But I dont know, thats why i ask.
Thanks
