i have true dauls on my SS but when i get my LPP's im gonna run there y pipe. with a cutout then a nice cat-back for a extended cab base model.

heres how i did mine i need some better pics though the x-pipe is right in front of the mufflers i did 2.5 pipe all the way back with flowmaster 2 chambers

im runnin dual magnsflow resonators as my mufflers, part # 14416..i dont have headers and still running factory cats and when i passed by my buddy the other day he immediately called and said that my truck sounded like he would want his camaro to sound, so im guessing that probably close to what youre wanting to sound like. i think with lt's and no cats it would even sound better, so id recommend to run those resonators as your mufflers as well. you can pick them up off ebay for about 60 bucks a piece, just search for Magnaflow 14416. good luck
