Default rod bolts

i have been searching around here trying to find out if the rod bolts listed for a LS1 will work in a 4.8/5.3?...i found a set of brand new ARPs for 65$, so if they will work in my 4.8 im gonna pick em up

Yes, they will work.
Most guys get the ones for 100.00 AKA ARP2000's or the "cracked rod series"

134-6006, thats the part number on them, is that what you guys are using?

over on ls1tech they say you need to resize the rods with he ARP bolts, how would they be any different than the katechs?

134-6006 are the ones I bought......I didnt have to do anything to my rods they went right in!

nothing, just a precautionary measure, the motor is on the stand and figure i might as well do it while its out, the motor is going into a 96 gmc 2wd 4dr jimmy, TEA stage 1 241s milled .040(coming close to stock CC), custom comp grind 218/224 .563/.570 113+4, LS1 intake and a ported stock TB, it might like the RPM a bit, and i just would like to have the piece of mind knowing that the bottom end is a little stronger

No rod modifications are required. Be sure to remove the inner sleeve that surrounds the stock bolts, you will see what im talking about.

The bolts are a wise investment, cheap insurance!

im hoping to make 350-375whp, eventually it will either get a remote mount turbo or a 125-150 shot....gotta see how fast this little 4.8 will go

what about head bolts?...stock are torque to yield right?...should i buy ARP head bolts or will stock replacement be alright?..
