that looks like an air water seperator to me. but thats what i have also.

Cool man...I'm curious to see if it'll keep the oil out of the hose from the seperator to the intake, hope it keeps working out for ya!

1slow01Z71: an oil catch can catches the oil (and moisture) that is unfortunately sucked into the intake and combustion chambers through the PVC system (a design flaw of the GENIII engines). This helps to keep carbon buildup to a minimum.

02sierraz71_5.3: catch cans can run anywhere from $15-$30 for homemade setups like 04BlackGMC's, to $90 for one made by AMW (link to their website at ls1tech.com)
