Hmmmm since my last oil change (about 2000 miles ago) my check engine oil light came on. The bastard was anout 1 full quart low. Maybe I need one of these, but i've never noticed any smoke??

thats pretty clever... i wonder how much is still not being filtered, bc thats a lot for a week.

where did you get that catch can and how much was it, the amw ones are way too expensive. does it go on the hose that runs from the back of the driver side valve cover to the intake?

AMW certainly makes a sweet can, but they raised their price from $90 to $160. For the quality of the AMW can it was a steal at $90. At the time I bought my can I had full access to a manual lathe and I couldn't make it myself for the cost of buying it new.

My AMW can on my truck catches ~35-40ml of oil every 3000 miles. I don't think I will ever own another fuel injected car without running a catch can.

I wager to bet that is all the oil you will collect in that air/water seperator.
