how much and what type of forged rotating assy are you getting for your 408 and what shot of nos are you going to be using if you dont mind me asking.

Eagle 2100 for rotating assembly and all bearings and rings to install. Probably around a 200 shot most of the tiem maybe a 250 every once in a while. The main thing you gain by going to forged is reliability you can spray a 200 shot all the time and not have any problems(for the most part) but on stock **** or hypertectic(sp?) you run a chance of frying it.

Stock rods are fine IMO. Stock rods are powdered steel and that is what alot of the aftermarket rods are made out of anyway that arent forged. There are alot of cars in the 9s with just arp bolts in stock rods. Im just getting forged cause it comes as a set and its like 250 more to get forged so I decided to go all the way forged. I do believe you can get a stroker crank too that isnt forged toherwise everyone would say they have forged internals. Just better to go forged for the extra security IMO.
