You can not use Top Fuel as an example of why supercharging is makes more power because they CAN NOT use anything other then a roots type blower.

I agree parish8's truck is the fastest to date 2003 rcsb z71. I mean how do you want to narrow down the catagory? JLP has run 9.88 in a lightning.......with a supercharger.
....

I'm not trying to start a fight here man.....moregrip and I are friends and are just jabbing at one another, I've go no beef with you or your beliefs.....we can all have our own opinions

what I'm trying to say is, forget about potential, show me the money

sure you can, thats the blowers ultimate example of power production applied to our interest, 1/4 mile performance/HP/TQ.

"A typical 1500cc (this was the FIA displacement limit for turbocharged motors at the time) motor in qualifying trim made over 1500 hp."

That's 1000hp per liter.....scale that up and your 500cid Top-Fuel engine would be making 8200hp turbocharged

The biggest issue for Top Fuel is traciton anyway. If they somehow figured out how to keep the tires from boiling off at 250+mph then they could worry about trying to make more power and would probably switch to a turbo system.. :p
