Default Radix Uber Alles

Sometimes a man doesn't know his motor's limitations. This is one of those times.

The motor made a couple of thumps as I was coasting down to legal highway speed after a 60-90 mph blast. It almost seemed like a tire went down.... but then I got the check engine light.... and then a low oil pressure warning script across the driver info screen.... and, finally, I was coasting down in a whole other way.

See pics for what happened...

Here' s some math thrown in for fun-

2am + 6 miles from home = $100 tow bill

((Radix at 9 psi + cam) - big hole in oil pan)/ 10,100 miles = no warranty

LQ4 with 2 broken rods = front timing cover, oil valley cover, maybe rocker arms, and flex plate are the only reuseable parts from entire engine.

I'll think of some more witty stuff later, I'm sure.

I'll be looking for low 13's with about 5 or 6 psi from the Radix come spring racing season

AH, that really sucks man! I hate it when a motor fails the oil pan test! (i.e. oil pan fails to contain parts inside)

Crap happens...

plan is for more cubes... less boost New heads, but most likely not the WCCH heads. Not pleased with Mattrems results at all. It'll come together fast because holidays are coming and I want it done before then.

I must say...

The fresh tranny rebuild and Yank 3000 felt AWESOME for the few hours that it was in before the big thump happened. Can't wait to roll that back out again

It was impressive as hell while it lasted. Only time we had been in it that all four tires were lit up spinning looking for a direction

You just HAD to show that pink car who was boss...now you have to drive it
