What other mods do you have? My belt was slipping like crazy
with a 2.9 pulley.I ended up getting a much shorter belt and
replacing the factory idler with 100mm pulley.

I'm seeing 8.5 psi with a 2.75" pulley. If your motor can handle the air being forced at it, you wont see as much boost pressure, but you are still moving the same amount of air. Lower boost means less heat.
