Not for nuttin...

500 rwhp = 600 crank hp assuming only 15% driveline loss (so a perfect day for an M6)
Also assuming a BSFC of .45 (absolute lowest -- perfect NA BSFC)

26# injectors are at 112% IDC.

If anyone is tuning intentionally with that high of an IDC, something's wrong.

Now... Those heads and cam have to be pretty damn magical to add 255bhp with nothing else but a tune (especially on top of 317s which are pretty decent heads to begin with) -- plus a good idling cam at that... Must be one of those new variable LSA cams

FWIW and for sake of the thread, I voted RADIX. The power from the RADIX is absolutely amazing!

I'm leaniing hard to the blower. Thanks again for all that offered there vote and opinion!

Would anyone disagree a LQ4 (lower CR) and Radix is a good combo?
What kind of prices are LQ4's ? All i really need is a short block, right?

you want a complete long block if you go lq4, the stock lq4 heads are great. you can find them for as little as $1000 but most people seem to have to pay around $1500.

if you can do both i think the lq4 + radix would be a killer combo. just the blower on the 5.3 would be great too.

you have lots of options. if doing the work yourslef you can slip a mildly camed lq9 in your truck for about 1/2 the cost of a radix. i dont know the exact numbers but you would probably get about 1/2 of the power increase too. your day to day mileage would drop with the motor swap, with the radix your mileage would stay the same except when you are beating on it.

alot of people like to make their power without the complexity of a power adder but you mentioned you always wanted a radix and their kit is soo complete and reliable that you dont really have to look at the extra complexity as much of a negative.

I think if I could do it my way, money not being an option, I would go with an LQ9 and a RADIX.

I don't know if there's a new one, but you reminded me of Voltron from back in the day!
