Aahhh ****......guess I should have not said anything at all!
It's more than likely 500/ 500 bhp/ btq!
If it takes 600 fly horse power to make 500 at the wheels, then it's probably more than likely 500 bhp/ 500 btq !
Guess some of you guys took this way too offensively.
I stirred up way too much !
Time for me to retire on this subject.
Next time I guess I will need 100% facts before posting!
I'm out!

No ... no offense taken at all.

I think 500/500 FWhp may be obtainable, but not 500 at the wheels.

if you can do both i think the lq4 + radix would be a killer combo. just the blower on the 5.3 would be great too.

you have lots of options. if doing the work yourslef you can slip a mildly camed lq9 in your truck for about 1/2 the cost of a radix. i dont know the exact numbers but you would probably get about 1/2 of the power increase too. your day to day mileage would drop with the motor swap, with the radix your mileage would stay the same except when you are beating on it.

alot of people like to make their power without the complexity of a power adder but you mentioned you always wanted a radix and their kit is soo complete and reliable that you dont really have to look at the extra complexity as much of a negative.

Thanks much for the replys!
I see a Radix S/C in my very near future!

Question: Would it be wise to swap out my TT3000 for a TT2600 or go back to stock converter?

Since your truck came with the L33 which is a gen IV block if I recall correctly the appropriate swap would be going to an LS2. I originally voted for cubes, but after I read more into it I'd have to say the L33 with a radix would be the way to go unless you went to an LS2.

On another question you posted, I'd recomend going for the higher compression. The radix is certainly not a high boost blower so keeping the compression high will compensate for that. That is why the Radix puts down such big numbers with the LQ9 and LS2.

I agree with Zippy

I have the L33 pistons in my engine to bump up compression along with milled LS1 heads to get me to about 10.8:1 CR. Since the Radix isn't known for high boost levels why bother with a low compression setup? Keep the boost between 7-9psi and keep the IATs down and HP and throttle response up.

This for my daily driver so I want to do what will present the least headaches and further costs as well as provide a good increase in power across the spectrum.
I have always wanted a boosted truck but am weary of the complexity and cost of repairs.
I have a couple of months before the $$ arrives but unfortunately it will not be enough to do both
I would rather have a high compression 6.0 than a boosted 5.3
I expect both to perform similar but a 5.3 setup for boost with h/c and 12lbs might edge out a 12.x SCR cammed 360 setup.

The boosted 5.3 will have more drivability though and require less stall rpm

A 5.3L with 12psi done right would walk all over an N/A 12:1 364cid.
