Default Questions on in-line pump placement and fuel filter thread size.

Going to be installing the in line pump I bought from Allen Nelson soon and was wondering if it really matters if I mount it before or after the fuel filter.

I'm thinking after would be better to keep crap out of the pump.

Also what size are the threads on the fuel filter and what type are they?
Thanks all!

Here is what i got from Allen for $180.00.
I threw the caliper in for scale.
Can I or should I even use the barbed type fittings or is there a stainless braided alternative that will let me go from the filter to the pump then from the pump outlet to the existing line where the filter outlet was?

Cool

I just cut a section out of the steel fuel line after the filter toward the front of the truck and put mine it there. The filter should probably be after the pump but unless the pump starts spitting out parts then it should not really matter. I used the barbed fittings on the pump and double clamped the hose onto the existing steel fuel line. Use the clamps made for fuel line connections if possible.

If you find a better way let us know because I have been thinking about re-doing mine.

Pics or part numbers would be cool.
Jim I thought about cutting into the line but 65psi of fuel pressure just makes me a little nervous going through a rubber tube with hose clamps on it, I guess I'm a chickenshit.
I'm going to take my filter and new pump to the hardware store and see what size fitting will plumb into either of them. They don't usually have any automotive parts there but the guys at most auto supply stores are useless.
The Walbro pump has a straight threads in it that are almost the same diameter and pitch as a 1/8-27 pipe thread.
I tried looking on Summit's site but most are AN style fittings and the rest have little to no description or pics to reference.
TTT again.....

Anyone else have an in-line pump?? I still can't find anything as far as parts or thread sizes go. Even looked over on LS1TECH and found nothing worth mentioning.
If I do get anything I'll be sure to post pics of my final set up and parts bought.

Found this site but still don't know what size threads I need to adapt one to the other.
