Default Question for the magnacharger radix guys.

im looking to get a kit for my tbss. Wondering what input do you guys have on these kits (intercooled ones). any problems you come across. Do you have to rig anything to install it?? also do you have to get a custom tune??

thanks

there is not a kit for the TBSS available. You might want to try calling Lingenfelter Performance.

I have had my radix for the last 2 years. No problems except smoking the transmissions. The kit is awesome. Driveability doesnt suffer in anyway and the perforance is great right out of the box.

The kit is SUPER complete, one of the best kits in terms of completeness. The radix comes with a superchips handheld programmer wich downloads the tune into your pcm.

I eventually went the custom tune route, but it is not recomended or necessary on the initial installation.

Im in the bay area and if you want to check it out, shoot me a pm.

blown i thought you were working out something with your guys overthere because their is a nice demand for it??

j's have you gone to the track. my old 98 s10 ss went 13.39@104 with a 90 shot and bolt ons and im hoping with this blower ill get into the 12s.

as far as calling Lingenfelter Performance i think they are pricing the kit at 6500 bucks which umm is a little overpriced for me

I have 80,000 miles on my Radix, no problems so far cept that tranny, like j's said. Mods are in sig, I'm in the solid 13's now with the 5.3 If you can figure out a way to put a Radix on your TBSS it would be hot! I'm aiming for 12's when I do the 6.0 swap.

tbss has the ls2 6.0. Since all the intake manifolds are the same, I would think that he could get one of the head units to fit up there. Then the issues would be tuning, plumbing/mounting the intercooler, and supplying fuel. Hood clearance might be an issue, I dunno how deep the motors sit in the engine bay in the tbss. Brian - would it be doable?

I know its not a trailblazer but if the fitment is anything simular to a SRX, the 4.6L v8 goes all the way to the firewall with very little room behind and infront. (But then again the trailblaser/envoy was built around a inline-6.) But my guess is there wont be enough room for a top mounter blower, but i am no means an expert on this stuff.

my truck has went 13.7's on 22's full weight of 5250. Slicks and weight reduction would probably put me in the lower 13's.

There is no reason with a charger you cant get into the 12's.
