Putting in cam in 2008 Silverado?

when you do a cam swap . . . its the best time to flush out the system. I Hook up the garden hose, and flush the engine and radiator until it runs clear.
After that the engine is full of clean tap water, with some in the radiator and with 2 gal of the non-premix it is close enough to have a close to 50-50 mix. After a few heat and cool cycles, fill the tank the rest of the way with water.

Here's a list of everything you could possibly need for a NNBS cam swap w/ some of the part numbers. I know it's kind of **** but it helped me so maybe it will help somebody else.
I haven't done the swap yet, just bought a 212/218 .522/529 on 114lsa on a whim last week and started collecting this stuff.
