Anything special here I should know about? Any specific difficulties in any area that somebody encountered? Harness difficulties?
Bolts in opposite corner head with chain attached? Pulling the blower to get it out of the way.
I did a search, but it's either nothing, or 800 returns.
It's coming out today.

Pull the hood off just for more working room. Just be sure to lift slowly and do some constant checking to see if you find something that hasn't been unhooked.
This might be an excellent time to clean up that firewall padding that got damaged in your garage accident a few months back.

first thing I would do is disconnect the battery pull the starter then remove the TQ converter bolts. Thanks about the only hard part.I would pull the intake manifold off and the waterpump, before you lift it out. I like pulling the inner fender well panels to gain accsess.

battery,
remove starter to access the bolts,
remove the intake, it's just going to get in the way
your electric fans may also get in the way
remove the harness from the engine
I like to remove the steering shaft going to the joint/connector down by the power steering, it will really help when you're trying to remove the mount bolts and especially pull the motor, no need to tilt it if the shaft is out of the way.
Get one of those adjustable things that tilt the engine backward and forward, it makes pulling the engine so much easier.
I wouldn't really about the a/c bolts until the engine is a few inches up, it will make it easier to remove the bolts.
and always, take your time and use jack stands,
good luck,
allen

Thanks for the pointers, guys.
It looks like it will have to get pushed to sometime after next week - raining cats and dogs outside and no garage. I head to CA Sunday, so will tackle when I get back.

There is no need to take the hood off. Just move the bolt on the hood to the bottom hole on the hood. That way you don't have a problem realigning it. When you swap the holes the hood will open straight up and down. Worked great for me.
