this problem was already posted by 99FireTA for me but i will post it again. had a yank 3000 installed yesterday. when i 1st took it out, it would not shift into 2hi, it would stay in auto4wd and when i pushed the 2hi button it shifted into 4hi. well we solved that problem. just a few wires mixed up. then i took the truck out again. i took off sort of hard, roads were wet, and my tires spun pretty good. down the road my ABS light came on, the speedo stopped working, the parking brake light came on, and the truck never reached 3rd gear. it stays in 2nd gear cruising down the road. not sure what might be causing this. it seems like the truck is in some "fail safe" mode. we tried getting rid of the ABS light with a scan tool, it would go out for a second and then come back on. please help

 

asking the same question as 1999stepside. do you have a jet chip scu2000. if not then the speed sensor is bad or has something wrong.my speed sensor went out and thats what it did. it acted like it was lost.if you do have a jet scu2000. unplug it and then unplug the battery.drive without it.then plug it back in.you will be ok.the computer will not accept it when it resets.

 

the only type of programmer i have is the HPP3. no jet in my truck
