I have been fortunate enough to get a hold of a new DiabloSport Predator and will be doing some testing here soon. I will say my initial impressions are good. Nice layout ... fairly quick flashes and pretty darn adjustable. The changes in the values for TQM reduction are noticable immediately.

I'll be spending some time tuning on the DynoJet (accellerometer) and also the Mustang (loaded) dyno here at work and will see what nets the best tune for ET.

I'll keep you all posted ... btw keep an eye out for the new HotRod TV as you will see me playing with a Bullitt Mustang and tweaking a new 03 Cobra with a Predator ... cool stuff

Is the episode of hotrod TV with the Bullitt new or is it fairly old? I know I saw an episode with a Bullitt. They used a Hypertech IIRC. Also put some exhaust mods and some tires and ran a good time. Were you in that episode?

 

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! I'm very impressed with it so far. I'm having a custom tune make from James as we speak......what did you adjust for the TM ? And what other mods do you have that you have to tune for?

I just purchased a predator for my 03 4.8, and haven't had the chance to install it yet. Hopefully it will live up to the hype I have heard about it. Relay any suggestions on the tuning side of the predator to all of us, we do appreciate it. Thanks

 

not trying to step on toes. but there is no comparison between the predator and the westers. not any.i cant imagine a handheld being better than edit at any time.i have owned a predator aka paperweight. i had the factory tune and 2 custom tunes.had problems with the custom tunes.i wesnt to westers and gained six tenths of a second.it is by far way better than predator.and you dont have to take it out to go to the dealer.

 

i have pred and still like it. I just wish mine took more tq management out. i am thinking of a custom tune if i can get a cam and such. Anyone know how pred is with a cam and such?
