i know most recomend long tubes but are shorty headers worth any gains? i was thinking of some edelbrock shortys that were ceramic coated.

yes. but mostly in the higher RPMs. not much though most gain like 6rwhp. i think JBA has the best design that yeilds 10 or so rwph.

I have ceramic coated Edlebrock shortys, I noticed a good increase in power mainly above 3000rpm. I would say shortys are worth a good 5-10 hp in my opinion. Also I gained about 3mpg on average. Not bad for only $300 from Jegs.

Jeff 03Z71, yes on average I do see about 3mpg, I noticed this gain just after I installed my headers. I think they are worth the money. I would have bought longtubes but I didn't have $800 at the moment plus the cost of having cutting and welding done to get them to fit.

long tubes will help low end and high end
