Potential L96 to replace LC9

Like a lot of things, this can be a rabbit hole. Regarding the cam. Obviously, we'd like to see you get the 8719R1. It's a great match for your combo and goals. However, it'll be easier on the wallet and you'll have less downtime leaving the stock VVT cam in there. That's a decision you'll have to make.

When it comes to replacing items there seem to be two perspectives. Some folks like to be hands-off and if it's not broke don't fix it. On the other hand, folks like the peace of mind and will replace just about everything they can get their hands on without tearing the motor down.

At this point I'm leaning towards the stock cam just to prevent the snowball from getting too big. The stock L96 will already be a nice power bump from the LC9.

If there are items that would be far easier to replace with the engine out, like the rear main seal, then I would rather replace it preventatively now than have to deal with it later.
