Default P0327 and the quest to find the knock

P0327 code popping on my tune. This is the thread to document and also ask some general questions about knock. My first question being how much is too much? I will attach here a log file that you will be able to see my knock. I got 8 degrees of it. 8.

My goal and thought still is to change the knock sensor that correlates with this code. I tested the wiring harness and it is good and I have already tested the new knock sensor so as to verify function before install. I just want to make a quick thread and document my changes.

My other question about knock is could an exhaust leak cause knock? I know I have a bad exhaust leak right now so I was thinking maybe that was it.
Also could the CEL go off on its own from a knock code? I was having some issues with my gauge cluster so that could be why but I think that the CEL actually just disappeared for a while. My scanner said it was pending and in history but not confirmed I do not think.

Anyways check the log. Knock happens at 8:34 in the time

If any knock sensor code is present it defaults to 8 degrees of knock no matter what. (unless otherwise set in the calibration)

If you disable the code the timing pull from knock will stop.

You need to get some grease under some fingernails lol. These intakes are by far the easiest I've ever swapped of any manufacture. Light weight, no coolant, gaskets go on dry with no sealer and clip on the intake for alignment. If you have OEM quick connect fuel line(s) you'll need the quick connect tool. If you've swapped to aftermarket quick connects they either unscrew or you push in the plastic clips and pull apart.

Then maybe you'll finally get a good nights sleep with the KR sensor stress behind you

This weekend I plan on doing it. I finally got my gaskets so I can.

I’ve been working on my 455 Grand Prix sorry

How do I upgrade the OS?

Also earlier I was throwing the same code with less kr in the logs. I have never heard of the 8 degree thing

Actually if you want let me post my tune file and you can tell me if I am on the 99 OS. I may have been upgraded off of it and didn't know but it has my same VIN I'm pretty sure. Is it possible to get the 2002 OS flashed at the dealer and I keep my VIN?

Also Red I've never seen Fast times at ridgemont high but I watched some clips and it seems funny but that quote is from Fyre festival. You are more in tune with the modern age than I am wtf

Do the sensors first before worrying about upgrading the OS.

The Dream scene with Phoebe Cates was tastefully hot when she removes her bikini top,
then quickly goes in the gutter funny when she walks in on Brad in the bathroom

I can only play the PG-13 version here... remember now she's old enough to be your grandmother
