Default Ported Throttle Body Problems???

I ported and half-shaft a throttle body for my 05 6.0. I was careful not to port where the blade rests. When I started the truck, it revved up to 2500-2700, fell, and idled... It does this everytime. Also, when you give it throttle, it acts like it sticks and slowly revs down. Alot slower than normal. Sometimes it idles fine, sometimes it slightly surges. Is this normal and will it go away? Or did I screw something up?

+1 I just gave mine a tiny port job, I removed that lump on the lower part, and just polished the rest, and mine is saying Reduced Engine Power. I also marked where the blade was. I didnt cut the shaft.

Is your DBW? The guy who did mine says he doesn't do DBW TB's anymore. Maybe porting them is a no no?

My problem was a minuscule amount of blade bind.
Removed the blade, and re-installed it and its perfect.

+1 Or retune it.
By porting the TB you changed the air restriction, now the pcm is confused.
