Default ported/polished 6.0 heads on 5.3

1) Is anyone running ported and polished 6.0 heads on a 5.3 looking to avoid paying 2500 for a good set of heads and was wondering If I could get similar results from a set of dressed up 6.0 heads as I could from a good set of patriots or airflows.

2) also this is a daily driver in NC and am starting cam research to go with the heads I want good drivability but something that will take advantage of the higher airflow, some lope is a good thing

any suggestions

Probably not a good idea. Besides, I dont think you could get 6.0 heads to flow like AFR 225's. 6.0 head chambers are alot bigger than 5.3 chambers. meaning your compression will decrease. Which is not a good thing unless you are going forced induction. Look into snagging a set of used 5.3 heads in good shape and getting them worked over. Or buy a set of 5.3 heads that have been ported, polished and milled. As far as cams go, im happy with my 212/218. Although I do want more cam!! And alot of other things.

Man, just buy my GTP S2+ heads. They flowed 307cfm @ .600 and 256cfm avg. which is pretty damn good considering they are set up for velocity and not all hogged out. The chambers have been welded up to simulate 5.3L and they were milled so compression would probably go up for you to which is good for N/A or nitrous. On my T/A CR was 11.4:1.

$1700 and they are yours

Ohh, they have not been installed since I get em back freshened up from GTP with brand new Comp double springs good for .650 lift.
