just ordered some taylor 10.4's yesterday. just wanted some thicker wires because of the headers and these were a little cheaper and thicker than msd.

MSD cause I needed customs. I put heat socks on all 8, but if I did it again I'd just leave the coils on the valve covers instead of moving to the firewall. The goal is to get the shortest, heaviest, least resistive wires available to enable as strong and consistant current flow as possible. Its really doubtful anyone cud notice any SOTP change after install, but on a dyno the power curve will look smoother, and durability of parts shud improve.

Running stock now, but I had real good luck with JBA PowerCables on several of my previous trucks with longtubes.

Yeah I wish I could have afforded the ceramic's when i bought mine. I'm sure it helps to keep the heat down. Thanks for all the input guys! I cheaped out and bought a set of Bosh's from Autozone. What are ya'll runnin for plugs? Anyone running the Tr-55's? And yes, its a low compression (9.4) N/A motor.

I'm running NGK 55's. Cheap and durable. Even with ceramic coating, you will still burn one if positioned incorrectly, not today but after time. Good luck.

I have an 04 yukon 5.3, and for the life of me cannot pull the stock plug wires out of the plug. The truck has 118,000 miles on it, and these are the factory wires. I soaked them with WD40 and used a cheap spark plug puller, but they wont come out!

Any suggestions? I dont want to rip the wire out and leave the boot, and have an even worse problem...There is also a methal heat shield around each boot that goes into the plug, but I was told they just sit around the boot and I dont need to mess with them, they just stay there.

When I pull my wires, I grip the metal sheilds and pull and turn left to right and they usually come out.
