I liked how much truck sounded with longtubes no cats and flowmaster 40 ran to the back with tips. miss that exhaust kinda.

What Kit did you buy? Thiems had the Sport Truck kit on his and it was louder than mine with Flowmaster dualed when I got it.

Always shop around before buying an exhaust end expecting it to be what you want. One brand has several different styles that will bring different levels loud.

I had a Gibson single-in single-out swept-side and could not get it off the truck fast enough. Rasp, drone, yuck. Junk. All I kept from the Gibson was the 3" flange...welded a Flowmaster on after that, which was okay. After a while I wanted quieter so I put in two Magnaflows, in series. The Gibson was by far the worst piece of crap I'd ever heard.

sorry to hear about your bad experience, but think of it this way...you did an $800 dollar research project for the rest of us.

dont go flowshitter , look into spintech, they make some very nice mufflers that dont resonate in the cab like flowmasters do, also they have some that are just like a 40 series but now resonation.
