Default Performance specs on all stock trucks

I would like to know if we could get people to post their times with stock trucks only. I would love to see how much faster a 6.0 is than my '01 5.3.Or if there is a major difference between a 5.3 and a 4.8. Please post your times in any of the acceleration areas. 0-60,1/8 or 1/4mile. All I know is that my best 1/8 was a 10.07@70mph. Please post replies.

Hard thing is that the 6.0L was only were installed in HD, SUV, and 3/4 ton+ trucks up until the VHO option in 05'. Nothing in a RC configuration. Might be an apples to oranges comparison.
Plenty of info on the 4.8 tho. Only difference on the motors is stroke, this is why the HP figures are close ( 270 vs 285 ) but the torque is huge ( 275 vs 320 ). The extra torque really gets these big rolling bricks going off the line faster.

In the 1/8 mile, my truck ran a 9.85 @ 73 mph bone stock with 4,000 miles. I had some traction problems off the line too.

mine is in my sig, sorry I don't have the full detailed 1/4 mile numbers at the computer that I'm typing at. The time was 15.77@86.5, at a better track with better air I'm sure it would have ran 15.6/15.5.

4.8 stock w/minor traction problems 10.3@68.371, but there was a guy there in a 02 5.3 auto that ran the same time at just a little slower mph

1997 GMC reg can shortbox Vortec 350 4l60e 3.08 open dif 4300 lbs
15.9 at low 80'smph 2.5 60ft I ran the whole 1/4 in 2nd gear, trapped at 5500 rpm in 2nd. Torque mangement really hurt my 60 ft times, its removal helped a lot.
BONE STOCK 20,000 kilometers

peace
