Well if you used the stock crank, some good rods like Lunati's, Diamond Pistons, balanced, Good stage 2 heads...like RMS stage 2's and a 224/224 duration cam. Even better with a fbody intake.

Out of the box? How about one of those 422 CID or a 409 CID jobs from Tbyrne with a FI unit? I'm sure some of you all would like to top it off with some NO2 too. No Replacement for Displacememt right?

Well, you gotta be more specific around me! You did say "perfect!"

Just for the motor, not counting other required bolt ons. Also assuming a fresh motor that doesn't need rebuilding...

Lunati Rotating assembly (408)
TR cam (230/224??)
AFR Stage 1 heads
Comp "R" lifters

Hmmm, that's already just over $6000. If you stay stock displacement, you could get a little more for that $6000.

6k would get you a killer 409.

afr heads, eagle crank, rods, pistons. cam. head studs. and a 200+shot.
