11.5:1 SCR for me. DCR escapes my mind, if I remember, I will edit this post.

I am running heavily ported "243" heads however with no chamber work to keep the compression up and they do well with pump gas. Power seems to peak at 25-26* advance. I attribute this to the combustion chamber design of the heads (dual quench area). Again though, this is on a 408.

i think im guna shoot for 11.5:1 on my new motor. no doubts about drivability on 93 octane.

My brothers truck is at 11.1 SCR with a 232/236 with 2* adv, 112 lsa on XE-R lobes. 28* timing 12.7 afr on 91 octane and no KR.

my 11.0:1 LS1 with 231/239 111+2 cam ran around 24 on 93.

on the 11.39 pass i ran 34* of timing on pump gas with NO issues with a 13.5-14.1 afr

then as the weather changed so did the timing going, down to a steady 30* same afr

do i reccomend anyone to do this ? NO unless you know what youre doing

yeah, on stock compression.

more timing doesnt always mean more power. there is a point where your timing can still go up without KR but the power levels start to fall off.
