topic pretty much says it, this weekend I am swapping out my 5.3L and dropping in the 6L with 02 LS6 cam and springs, milled heads (.030) and headers

I know it wont run IDEALLY til I get it tuned, but it will run the motor RIGHT???

yes it will run, you will need to get a tune but you should be ok and not have any problems with the motor and the pcm.

I ran a 6.0 pcm on my 4.8 and it ran nice and strong

 

what are the advantages of using a 6.0 pcm on 4.8/5.3

 

Advantage was anything would be getting rid of all the knock I had with my 00 4.8 tune. The 6.0 pcm got rid of all my knock and ran stronger.
