Well i started my headers install today. I got everthing off, and put the passenger header on. My question is do you install the driver side header from the bottom or top? I was hoping to install them withouth unbolting the steering, but it was getting in the way from both directions. Also, if i have to, where do you un-bolt the steering from?

Install from the top. Pull the bolt out of the steering shaft. It's mid ways down where to two shafts connect to one. simply pull the upper half of the shaft out. be careful when you install the bolt back. it rubbed the coating off of my pacesetters.

Ive done em from the bottom without taking out the steering shaft.

I went in from the bottom and I took the steering bolt out and just pushed the shafts in.

Maybe its a 4wd vs 2wd thing.

From Coops pic it looks as the 2wd steering shaft goes closer to the headers.

i have a 2wd, and installed them from the bottom, just have to lift the truck up the little to get the right angle on them, and they slipped right in.

I did mine from the bottom. Just jack it up so you can get the headers in a nice vertical angle and slide em right up. Just take out that 1 bolt on the steering and its out of the way. Get it up in there, bolt it up, hook the steering back up with that 1 bolt and there you have it.

Alright thanks. Also i noticed that there is only 2 spots for the o2 sensors. Do i need to remove the back o2s from the truck entirley?

you Don't have to...... if you put your cats back in, then the ecaust shop can put the rear o2's back in..otherwise you can just have them deleted..
