Default ORY pipe/driveshaft clearence?

So I finally got my LPP longtubes installed but I ran out of light before I got to the Y pipe. But from the looks of it it doesn't seem like the y pope is gonna clear my front driveshaft. I have a 12" susp. lift and a lengthened front dshaft so I'm assuming that's y . Nebody else run into this prob?

When I first installed mine in Jan., I used the y temporarily until I went dual 3" out the back. With the y mine rubbed slightly on the front shaft, but now with duals, expansion joints, etc. no more problems.

thats kinda weird, i would think that with the steeper angle of the driveshaft it would actually give it a little more clearance. Its pretty damn close to my front driveshaft but not close enough to worry about it ever hitting...my truck sits quite a bit lower than yours though if you have any trouble getting it into place just drop your trans crossmember and it should slip right on, then check your clearances. maybe it will be small enough that you can caress is back out of the way with a hammer. if not, im sure someone with a stock height truck would pick up that shinny stainless y-pipe from you. good luck making it fit

well with my truck and the 12" drop on the front diff. the drive shaft starts at the tcase and goes at a pretty steep downward angle. I was able to get the pipe onto the header on the pass. side but couldnt get the pipe at the angle it needed to be (to meet the rest of the ypipe) because of the dshafts angle. but its not off by much so i took it to the muffler shop and showed him the situation and asked if he thought he could just heat the pipe and compress it a little in that area to clear the dshaft and he said it should be no prob. so hes gonna do that along with install the rest of the Y pipe and then run the rest of the exhaust for me. I'll have some vids when its done.

Sounds good, what are you doing for the rest of the exhaust?

X pipe,2 1/4" piping, dual (knockoff)flowmaster 10 series single chamber,3.5" tips 90'd behind the tires. I really wanted to get borla XR1's but my budget wouldnt really allow it so i started looking at single chambered mufflers and i kinda liked the cherry bomb extremes and the flowmaster 10's so i made a thread asking about both. and a guy showed me a site called performance curve that sold knockoff flowmaster but he said from his experience with them their performance curves laster longer than any flow he'd ever had so i looked up the site and sure enough a replica of the flow 10 on their site for only 25$/muffler so i bought them and figured what the hell if i don't like them ive only wasted 50$ it definately beats the hell out of cherry bombs-60$/muffler,flowmaster 10's-75$/muffler,borla xr1's 125$/muffler lol

Are you going to make the cat back removable from the x-pipe, like with v-bands or something?
