Well from the factory, depending on the year, the LM7 00-03 they were rated at 285HP/325TQ. The LM7 usese unleaded gas were the L59 is a flex-fuel were it can run on enthanol and unleaded. The L33 is the HO were it has 310HP and is all aluminum, block and heads.

The 04's LM7 are rated at 295/330 everything internally and specs are the same I think they were just tuned out for the extra power ratings.

More will chime in...

The L33 incorporated flat top pistons and a different head set.

It's at 335TQ ,just a little higher. The L33 also uses different heads from the LM7.

"The 04's LM7 are rated at 295/330 everything internally and specs are the same I think they were just tuned out for the extra power ratings."

I also thougt so, until I replaced my 03 Hoe with an 04, both LM7s.
I have HP Tuners, and all avalible tables having an impact on performance are the same 03 and 04.

What I DO see differ, is the exhaust system cat back!
On the 03 the muffler was like a large waste bin, on the 04 it´s just as an ordinary waste bin!
I can also confirm that there is a different exhaust note, on the 03 you could hardly detect that there was a V8 in the truck, on the 04 there is a faint but noticable V8 sound entering the cabin. Also outside on idle there is a difference. (for the better)

Ihave´nt had the opportunity yet to log and see if there is a performance difference.

That's intresting ,wonder if the exhaust had to do something to do with it but I wounldnt think it'll make that much of an increase or difference?

That's odd if the tables read the same there had to be something that changed the motor outputs..
