Default No AC controls when low fuel???

Has anyone come across this yet? On the way home the window was fogged up and I couldn't turn the defrost on. The blower had different speeds, but no control of temp, just hot and no control of floor/defrost, just face. I can understand why, using the ac as needed consumes more fuel, just didn't think my truck would have that. Is this a fluke or has anyone else run across this???

Something's up there ... check the vacuum lines that run into the motor from the cab.

EDIT .. Are these things even VAC operated anymore?

Well thats what I thought at first, then it hit me that I will wait till I fill up. Filled up and everything worked perfectly, defrost, cold air, ac. I kinda think that if the ecm sees an extremely low amount of fuel, it will not allow the ac to kick on and block certain functions of the ac control panel.

I don't have that problem. Even if it's low enough to trigger the low fuel waring.

When my truck is cold, I can't use the dome light. Sometimes when I push the switch to dome, the CARGO light comes on. When the truck warms up a little everything goes back to normal. Also my gas gauge goes up and down all the time. We have haunted trucks

Now that you mention about the cargo light .... Mine will flash on for about a half second when the interior map light is turned on.
