Default Newest addition to 'the family'...

Got this put in Friday evening. There was an immediate improvement in throttle response. Everthing seems a lot smoother now and it took a lot of the lag and jerkiness out of the throttle that I had before. The PCM is still learning it though (which also tells me it's making a difference if it's taking more than a weekend for the PCM to figure everything out). So far I'm really pleased with it.

Thanks again to Billy at TRT Performance and of course to Marc Shaner for the porting even though I don't know if he comes on this site. Anyway, I'd recommend these to anyone interested.

That looks like SS_boon_SS (not sure though). He drops by over here, but I've mostly seen him elsewhere (the sss site).

I got it through Billy. He's the one that talked to Shaner. Cost through TRT is $150

Yes, it's a stocker and yes if you have the tools and time you can do it yourself. It was well worth it just to have Shaner do it. No use me wasting my time on something he's perfected.

I'm not going to go into the "gains" part of it because I don't have any Dyno numbers to prove anything. But like I said, the PCM is still trying to adjust to the airflow so that tells me it's made SOME difference. And it is definitely more responsive and accelerates smoother than before.

Mark has been porting throttle bodies for years. He takes a bigger isnt always better stand point. For the money, its hard to beat.

Thanks Moze.
