Default New truck, want mods!!

I got a 2000 chevy silverado with a 4.3 in it, what are some good mods that can get many easy horsepower? I'm thinking of K&N intake and flowmaster 40, and gears, anything else that yall would recomend?

That would be a good start but before long, if you stick around here, you will end up with a 6.0L swap

everyones going to tell you to swap the v6 out and get a v8. but i put a 75 shot on my v6 and i loved it. i cant even count how many times i used it and the truck is still going strong. also you are probably going to want some kind of tune.

I think a lot of the V6's came with a 3.08 rear gear. If it is that high, a 3.73 or 4.10 would sure help it. Easy to do, not too expensive and goes well with about any mod.

See that!

If your set on the swap and just want some easy power cheap then get a good nitrous kit and tune.

If you want to save a little money you can buy a 5.3 from somebody that is going to a 6.0. They average around $500 for a longblock and will still provide a significant gain in power from a v6.
